Who Should Audition

Blue Springs City Theatre welcomes performers of all ages and experience levels. Auditions are open, inclusive, and rooted in community. We encourage performers of all gender identities, ethnicities, and body types to audition.

Auditions are open to adults and youth, ages 12 and up (by the first rehearsal).

What to Prepare

Prepare 32 bars/1 minute of a musical theatre song in the style of Cabaret. Songs from the show are also acceptable (pop/rock contemporary). – an accompanist will not be available; please bring a recorded accompaniment track.
Be prepared to learn a short dance combination.
Complete the online form by noon on Tuesday, April 7 and plan to arrive 15 minutes before your audition slot.

Paper forms will be available on-site, but online forms completed after the deadline may not be available at the audition, requiring completion of a paper form.
